The Hidden Curriculum of Success
The researcher no one teaches you to become.
A FREE 2-day online workshop for PhD and other research students and early-career researcher
Universities teach you how to conduct research. They teach methodology, statistics, academic writing and publishing.
But there is another curriculum that quietly shapes every successful researcher.
It's the curriculum that influences whether you procrastinate or take action.
Whether you stay stuck in self-doubt or develop confidence.
Whether you simply complete a degree... or build a meaningful career and life beyond it.
It's the curriculum that isn't written into any handbook.
And it's the one I wish I'd learned much earlier.
Over two practical and thought-provoking sessions, we'll explore the science, psychology and success principles that help researchers create sustainable momentum—not through working harder, but by thinking differently and understanding themselves more deeply.
After these two sessions, you'll...
- Think differently about success and what's actually holding you back.
- Understand why procrastination isn't a motivation problem.
- Know how to create more flow, focus and momentum.
- Stop letting perfectionism dictate your progress.
- Set goals that genuinely inspire action.
- Develop habits that support long-term success.
- Leave with practical tools you can implement immediately.
"If you can hold it in your mind, you can have it in your hand!" ~ B. Proctor

Why this workshop is different
This isn't another productivity workshop.
It isn't about squeezing more hours into your day or downloading another planning template.
Instead, we'll explore the deeper principles that influence how you think, feel and perform.
Drawing on neuroscience, psychology, researcher development and years of working with thousands of researchers, you'll leave with practical strategies you can apply immediately—not just to your research, but to your career and life beyond academia.
The technical skills you learn during your degree help you complete your research.
The human skills you develop here can shape the rest of your career.
We'd love to have you join us.
